As spring turns into summer, Finnish nature is in full bloom and soon we are able to enjoy its delicious treasures. Our pure Finnish nature and its plentiful biodiverse forests present us with healthy and versatile ingredients with their unique taste. After harvesting, the ingredients are processed in the most natural way into our artisan products. Our selection includes products made from Mother Nature’s gifts, such as lingonberry, bilberry, chaga, and mushrooms not to mention delicious products made from cranberry, sea buckthorn, and blackcurrants.
Have you tried the tart and sweet taste harmony of a cranberry?
Harvest times of berries and other natural delicacies vary. Bilberries (Vaccinium myrtillus) are usually ready to harvest from mid-July until late September. Lingonberries (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) ripen in late August and can be harvested until early October. Lingonberry produces the best harvest in luminous and dry peaty forests. Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) is a plant that is mostly found on Finnish coastlines and that needs a lot of light to grow. Cranberries (Vaccinium oxycoccus) ripen later and can be harvested in the fall from early September until the fall of snow. Cranberry is a plant of swamps and it survives in nutrient-poor, but luminous bogs and marshes.
Did you know that dried bilberries have been used to relieve stomach ache?

as summer mornings dew sparkles on my leaves
in the thick green of moss
when summer displays its most spectacular shades”
